Chateau d'Oex Skiing HolidaysThe Swiss resort of Château d'Oex (in Vaud) has direct access to fifty kilometers of skiable terrain, with twenty two individual runs, accessed by ten lifts. In addition to the skiing in Château d'Oex itself, part of the Glacier-Alpes Vaudoises skiing area, the appropriate lift pass will give one access to the ski slopes in other Glacier-Alpes Vaudoises winter resorts such as Anzère, Gstaad, Les Diablerets, Leysin etc. Château d'Oex has snowmaking facilities, there are three snow cannons ready to support the snow base when needed. One can get a train back to Château-d'Oex from Zweissemen, Saanenmoser, Rougemont, Saanen or Gstaad almost any time of the evening! There are also several cozy bars and restaurants in Chateau-d'Oex itself, as well as the La Bamba disco, which is often quite lively.
