Flims - Laax Skiing Holidays

The Swiss resorts of Flims and Laax have direct access to two hundred and twenty kilometers of skiable terrain, which includes fifty-eight individual runs, accessed by twenty-nine lifts.
With ski slopes above 2500 m., snow sports are assured throughout the winter season.
However, just in case, the ski area of Flims - Laax has and 80 snow cannons for artificial snow if needed. The 29 lifts are able to take up the mountain 42000 riders per hour.
Due to the fact that there are 2 airports within 2 hours drive, short family vacations and ski weekends are very popular in Flims and Laax. Flims Laax is highly appreciated by snowboarders and free-riders and there are two snow and terrain Parks.

Flims - Laax Transportation

As said above there are two airports within two hours by car. These are the international airport in Zurich and the regional airport Altenrhein.
By train one can come:
From the Zurich region, Germany and Austria via SBB Railway to Chur then change, Rhatian Railway (RhB) to Ilanz, another change with bus to Flims-Laax. Another option is directly to get a bus from Chur to Flims.
From central Switzerland by Furka-Oberalp-Railway (FO) to Ilanz, from where continue by bus to Flims and Laax.
By car:
From the Zurich region and from St Margrethen via motorway A3/A13 Zurich - Sargans, or St Margrethen - Sargans - Chur - San Bernardino, take the exit Reichenau and continue via the main road to Flims and Laax.
From the Chiasso via motorway A2/A13 through San Bernardino to Chur, take the exit Reichenau and again via the main road to Flims-Laax.
From central Switzerland via the main road Oberalp Pass - Disentis - Ilanz - Flims-Laax.
