Together with the popular Swiss spa resorts of Tarasp and Vulpera, Scuol is part of a famous health, recreation and sports region in Austria and Scuol is the largest spa center in the Lower Engadine. Scuol is also an important center of the Lower Engadine bookcraft and very popular for its prints and bibles. An interesting tourist attraction here is and the Lower Engadine Museum in the Chà Gronda monastery. In the paste, before the cable car to Motta-Naluns was built, the tourism flow in Scuol was concentrated mainly during the summer season. Now snow sports and winter tourism has become an important branch, and a number of lifts facilities has been inaugurated. There is some excellent hotel accommodation in Scuol, such as Hotel Belvedere Scuol, Hotel Bellaval and Wohlfühlhotel Curuna.

Scuol Spa - Engadin Bad Center

The Engadin Bad Scuol is a popular spa center in Switzerland which mineral water comes from various sources and provides with a great range of well-being activities. The mineral water temperature varies from: 18 to 37 degrees Celsium. The spa centre includes indoor and outdoor pools, grottos, steam baths, a brine bath, Jacuzzis, saunas, etc. - a complete spa experience! One of the highlights is the Roman-Irish bath of Scuol.

Scuol Ski Holidays

The local ski area of Schonried is small, but very nicely located near the resort center. However, Schonried is just on a short train journey from the famous ski resort of Gstaad with its large skiing area and number of winter sport facilities. The train is included in the lift ticket and via bus one can also go to Diablerets.
There are 2 airports within 2 hours drive from Schonried, so ski weekends and short vacations are popular in the area. Berne - Belpmoos is just on an hour drive away, so one can quickly reach the ski runs.

Scuol Sand Pyramids

The Sinestra valley with its medicinal bath and Zuort court is a fantastic hiking area. A popular attraction is the rock gallery with the Uina gorge and the sand pyramids and strange sand formations near Zuort. The erosion has been developing these bizarre formations over the centuries.

Scuol Transportation

The nearest airports to the Swiss resort of Scuol are international airport Zurich and the regional airport in Samaden.
By train once can reach Scuol:
From the Zurich and Lake Constance via SBB to Chur, where one has to change to Rhatische Bahn for Reichenau - Thusis - Filisur - Albula and Scuol. (or RhB Landquart Klosters - Vereina tunnel - Scuol).
From the Valais via Furka-Oberalp railway to Reichenau and again change to RhB to Scuol.
By car: From the Zurich via motorways A3/A13 to Bellinzona, take the Landquart exitand continue on the main road to Klosters - Davos - Fluela Pass and the village of Scuol.
From Austria via motorway Feldkirch – Landeck, through the main road Pfunds – Scuol.
