Zinal is a small, but popular and cosy ski resort in Switzerland, located in the Val d'Anniviers area. Zinal offers its visitors seventy kilometers of downhill skiing and snowboarding on eleven individual pistes, accessed by nine lifts. There is a convenient and frequent ski bus, which links Grimentz and Zinal. The Swiss ski resort of Zinal is situated at 1670 meters elevation and usually snow sports down to the resort are possible. With ski slopes up-to 2900 m., good skiing and snowboarding conditions are assured during the winter season. However, Zinal has and 77 snow cannons on the main ski runs, so they are put in operation when the snow cover is not enough.

Zinal is also pretty popular during the summer season, offering the holidaymakers some three hundred kilometers of pedestrian trails, beautiful mountain bike itineraries, few cosy huts, picnic areas, exciting paragliding flights, and other sport activities, such as tennis grounds, mini golf, swimming, etc.

Zinal Transportation

The resort of Zinal is accessible via the public transportation services, but it is more convenient if you visit it by car via A9 motorway to Sierre, and then to Val d'Anniviers, through Vissoie - Ayer-Zinal.  By Swiss railways one can get to Sierre and then continue by bus to Vissoie and Zinal. The nearest airport to Zinal is Geneva International Airport.
