Zweisimmen (in Bernese Oberland) is a gateway to the popular Swiss ski resort of Gstaad, but it itself attracts many tourist in both winter and summer season. The chalet village of Zweisimmen draws a number of hikers, skiers and snowboarders and is also very feasible for family holidays. The magnificent Alpine landscape in the Simmental is an unforgettable experience for nature lovers, but the holiday area also attracts and many culture travellers. An example for this is the resort’s church from the fifteenth century with its beautiful architectural monuments and idyllic surroundings. There are also some interesting events in the village of Zweisimmen and the area, such as Snow Games Zweisimmen, Rinderberg Derby, Summer weeks, Open Air Cinema Zweisimmen and more. The resort has several quality hotels such as Hotel Post, Hotel Résidence, Sporthotel Krone, Sport Motel, as well as other private accommodation, ski chalets, etc.

Zweisimmen Ski Holidays

The Swiss ski village of Zweisimmen has provides its winter visitors with access to twenty-five kilometers of ski slopes, with thirty-eight individual pistes and six lifts.
These six lifts of Zweisimmen have capacity of 11000 persons per hour and there are also facilities for artificial snow making. There is also a terrain park - Vanille Noir in the nearby ski resort of Saanenmöser. One can also easily reach the ski runs of the resorts of St Stephan and Schönried and go ski or snowboard on the Diablerets glacier, which provides and summer snow sports.

Zweisimmen Transportation

The nearest airports to the Swiss village of Zweisimmen are these in Bern-Belp (~ one hour away) and Zurich (~2 hours and 30 minutes away)
By train one can reach the resort from Berne – Spiez, with a change for Zweisimmen or from Montreux to Zweisimmen.
By car: Bern - Thun - Wimmis - Zweisimmen (approximately one hour).
